Stephanie Bohn

Stephanie Bohn knew she wanted to be a stylist long before the term “fashion stylist” became part of the current lexicon. After studying photography, she left school to become a photographer’s assistant. She particularly enjoyed the arrangement of props and styling clothing on models. She soon discovered she enjoyed this more than shooting the actual photos. Shortly after her first taste of styling, she was fortunate to land a full time styling position at Neiman Marcus Direct, where she styled clothing for numerous catalogues, season by season.

A decade ago, Stephanie packed her bags and moved to New York. She freelanced as a fashion stylist; styling photo shoots for magazines and catalogues. She styled commercials, music videos, runway shows and worked with celebrities. She assisted designers, helping them edit their collections for New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park. And that was just the glamorous work.

Then, a couple of years ago, something big happened. She became a mom. Her lifestyle changed. She no longer had the time or desire to run around a big city schlepping clothing from one photo studio to another on a tight schedule. She wanted time with her new family. She wanted a backyard. She wanted to return to her roots. She wanted…Texas.

So she moved to Austin, got settled in, and then realized she didn’t have to leave the world of fashion behind. She could help real people with her experience and know-how. And that’s how The Style Service was born.
