What types of people use a stylist?

There are certainly many types of people that use a stylist. We’ve helped both men and women clients whose ages have ranged from teens to over 65. Our clients are an eclectic mix of professionals, mothers, fathers, entertainers, students, people starting new careers and those who have lost weight or undergone other significant life changes.

What is a typical budget?

There is no such thing as a typical budget. I have worked with budgets from a couple hundred dollars to unlimited.

Do I need to be present for the closet organization as well as the shopping portion?

It is highly recommend that you be present during the closet organization portion of this process. Together you and I will go over what “works” for you, your lifestyle and your ideal image. Then we’ll keep the pieces that we can integrate and get rid of those that we can’t. There will be some items in your closet that may just need a little TLC to look fresh and updated, and we’ll go over that, too.

Shopping is another story. It’s really whatever you want to get out this service. If you simply don’t have the time to shop or prefer to have someone shop for you, then that’s what we’re here for. However, if you really want to learn how to shop for your current figure and budget, then I highly recommend that we go together. You’ll get instant feedback from a trusted professional, plus it’s fun!

Where will we go to shop for my new wardrobe?

This totally depends on the client and the budget. I believe that it doesn’t take a huge budget to dress well. We’ve created fantastic wardrobes with pieces from Target and Old Navy, as well as Neiman Marcus, mom and pop boutiques and even consignment stores.

I don’t live in Austin, Texas. Can you come to where I live?

We can travel anywhere in the world. The Style Service does not charge an hourly rate for travel. The client is responsible for applicable airfare, hotel and mileage only.

Do you do travel shopping trips?

Yes. What could be more fun than a shopping adventure in a different city? We’ve taken small groups and individuals to New York and L.A. and lots of cities in between.

Do you work with a hair and make-up stylist?

We can discuss various options and find styles that are best suited to your image. The Style Service works with various professional hair and make-up stylists in several cities that can work with you directly to achieve your best style and image.
